French Empire swinging doll 8 day time and strike ebonized portico clock, c1870
CONDITION:
this case, with its barley-twist columns, porcelain dial and profuse detailed lacquered brass trim, has been fully restored and brightly polished. The Farcot patent chaff cutter escapement, with two escape wheels, seems to tick fine. The clean looking movement has count wheel and bell half-hour striking. The cast-metal doll on its swing appears to be old, and is proper for this model. The clock was originally on wooden base under dome. Ht 21"
